Technology: Content Filtering And Subscription Models

Idea: I'm thinking of a way to split different levels of explicitness cleverly. Imagine Rmbl like cable TV, but free to use. Everything accessible via our homepage will have a small level of filtering, similar to what you see or hear on basic cable TV, but with words. Then, we have premium channels that you might find indirectly through our leaderboards page or comments. These premium channels can be much more explicit and reflect the person's voice and tone more accurately, but their posts won’t show up by default on the homepage.

On each user's profile page, there would be a way to pay a small one-time credit fee to "subscribe" to that user's channel. Subscribing would add their posts to your homepage, and 50% of the credit fee would go to the person you're subscribing to. This fee adds weight to the decision, ensuring you know you want to subscribe, understanding their content can be very explicit and will appear on your homepage.

An API for publicly accessible profiles and posts would definitely be possible and absolutely on the roadmap, though it’s likely a bit lower on the priority list.

The subscription-based model sounds intriguing. I was thinking of something like Twitter or X, where you can subscribe to different people, especially high-profile individuals with blue checkmarks. Those are the ones you want to see daily thoughts from to feel more connected. Also, will there be an API for your app so that it could be integrated into other apps where high-profile individuals are involved? I was thinking along those lines, but hey, you're on the right path!
