Technology: Privacy Features In Social Media

Alright, quick update — from now on, every time you start a new ramble, it’s gonna be fully private by default. It’ll show up on your profile, but only you can see it — nobody else. You’ll know it’s a draft because it’s got this little draft badge on it, and it’s a little more faded out compared to your other posts. Then it’s up to you — if you’re feelin’ it, you can publish it whenever you want and it'll hit the public feed. Or if you decide it’s not really worth sharing, you can just delete it. No pressure. No accidental posting. You get the time and space to think about it first. That's it. Just another little thing to make this feel more like your space.

I have to imagine it makes some kind of sound, and any air bubbles are definitely gonna float up, lol.

We've also introduced a new "heat check" system. Every ramble now gets a quick review when you post. If it’s mild and appropriate for a broad audience, it can appear on the homepage. But if it’s more explicit, edgy, or low-effort, it’ll stay on your profile and won’t be featured publicly. This way, you still have full control over your posts, but the homepage stays clean and welcoming for everyone.

Just to make it super clear, if you want to leave a draft as a draft forever, you can totally do that. There’s no limit to how many drafts you can keep in your profile. If all you want is to make private drafts that only you can see, you can do that too.
